Gladwyne Software Surety Names Seasoned Insurance Executive
Rick Hinckley CFO and EVP Insurance
Kemper and CIGNA Veteran Joins IT Risk Management Firm to Lead Financial
Operations and Development of Planned Risk Transfer Product
King of Prussia, PA - August 2, 2001 - Gladwyne Software Surety,
a provider of objective risk management services that enable corporate
executives to insure their IT investments, today announced the appointment
of Richard Hinckley as the company's Chief Financial Officer. With more
than 25 years of experience in financial services, insurance businesses,
information systems, and management consulting, Hinckley strengthens
the Gladwyne management team and will lead the development of the company's
IT risk transfer product, scheduled to be released later this year.

current and planned IT risk management offerings," stated Mort
Goldman, Gladwyne's chairman and CEO. "As CFO, Richard Hinckley
will manage all of the company's financial operations, as well as direct
the next phase of growth for Gladwyne - bringing the IT risk transfer
product to market."
Hinckley most recently served as a Senior Vice President at Kemper Insurance
Companies, where he was responsible for starting Kemper's Risk Finance
operations, which offered novel insurance products including B2B counterparty
risk, residual value insurance, and healthcare receivables coverage.
Previously, Hinckley spent 21 years with CIGNA Property and Casualty
Companies, where he served as CFO of the Special Risk and International
& Broker divisions, Financial Controller of Domestic Property and
Casualty, and, most recently, as Senior Vice President of Financial
Products. Prior to his tenure with CIGNA, Hinckley was a senior consultant
at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG), specializing in the
banking and insurance industries, and a senior associate at Planning
Research Corporation.
Hinckley is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned
an M.B.A. in Finance and Decision Sciences, an M.S.E.E. in Computer
Science, and a B.A. in Mathematics. He has served as Treasurer of the
Wharton Club of Philadelphia, Vice-Chairman of Junior Achievement of
the Delaware Valley, and board member of St. Joseph's University Business
School. Hinckley resides in Bryn Mawr, Pa. with his wife and family.
