Richard Hinckley
Chief Financial Officer and EVP Insurance

Mr. Hinckley has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, insurance businesses, information systems, and management consulting. Mr. Hinckley's role as CFO at Fortera includes the management of the company's corporate financial functions and the overall development of our insurance risk transfer product.

As a senior vice president at Kemper Insurance Companies, Mr. Hinckley produced in excess of $10 million of start-up year premium managing the company's Risk Finance operation, which encompassed Internet B2B counterparty risk insurance, residual value insurance and other financial products. During a 21-year tenure with CIGNA Property & Casualty Companies, he most recently oversaw the development of innovative financial risk products as senior vice president of financial products. Prior to that role he directed the financial planning and analysis, capital management, and expense control and reporting activities as financial controller of CIGNA's U.S. Property and Casualty business. In addition he was also CFO of the company's Special Risk division and CFO of the International and Broker division.
Mr. Hinckley's experience also includes management consulting as a senior consultant with Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Company and as a senior associate with Planning Research Corporation.

Mr. Hinckley earned a BA, MBA, and MSEE from the University of Pennsylvania. He is past Treasurer of the Wharton Club of Philadelphia, has served as a board member of St. Joseph's University Business School, and was Vice-Chairman of Junior Achievement of the Delaware Valley.
